The Transition Committee of TSN exists to help CBP and the trade manage the transition to ACE in the most efficient and painless way possible. Important element of a successful transition will be sound planning and communication.
Last summer, the Transition Committee presented a White Paper to CBP, detailing the committee's recommendations for the transition to ACE, with particular emphasis on a communications strategy. The White Paper, and CBP's response, are available below.
More recently, we took on CBP's planned "Big Bang" approach to implementing ACE. "Is it a good idea?" "Will it lead to disaster?" "Will the difficulties experienced in Australia happen in the U.S., only WORSE?" Check out the ESAR A2 Implementation White Paper.
The international trade press expressed frustration with being left out of the TSN, and we responded there too. The Integrated Communications Subcommittee provided details of the TSN plenary right after the conference, along with access to key particpants. Details of the conference call are presented here as well.
