The ACE Transition Website is a privately run forum for information and discussion on the new Automated Commercial Environment ("ACE") being built for use by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the trade community.

New Items:

!  Citing resource considerations related to ACE development, CBP proposes to scale back edits for incoming data quality control.  Is this a good idea?  The trade community does not think so.  A white paper produced by the TSN Transition Committee explores this issue and includes a compilation of trade community comments.

After a lengthy hiatus, the ACE Message Boards are BACK and IMPROVED !

Ours is one of the most automation-dependent areas in the industry-government realm.  The transition between the existing and future systems will be complex.

By hosting this site, we hope to:

  • Serve as a single menu for all ACE-related information
  • Provide useful information and the latest updates on ACE
  • Facilitate discussion and knowledge exchange
  • Assist the trade community in the transition to ACE

Trade User's Guide for ACE - ESAR Release A2

Click on the above title to view or download the file.  The Trade User's Guide was produced to help current ABI/ACS customs brokers, self-filers, and their automation vendors focus on significant changes they might experience as ACE ESAR (Entry Summary, Accounts, Revenue) Release 5 is rolled out; currently expected in Mid, 2008.  It is arranged in a somewhat sequential order and focuses on key areas of activity.  Within each area we provide information on what we see as operational changes, automation changes, and outstanding questions.  This guide is not meant as a comprehensive guide to all aspects of ACE. The details of the automation changes are not finalized and will be further refined in future Trade Ambassador workshops with CBP and the ACE Support Team.
